20 years of experience, a business founded in 2019
Jayme Wilmann began walking dogs in Montreal and founded Vancouver Canine in 2019. Jayme brings 20 years of professional dog-walking experience and personally trains our walkers.
Insured, licensed and prepared
We are insured and hold business licences in Vancouver and West Vancouver, plus commercial dog-walking permits for West Vancouver and Pacific Spirit. Both Jayme and our manager hold pet first-aid certifications.
A team behind your dog’s care
We serve around 200 clients. Our manager provides dedicated backup coverage when someone is away. Occasionally, unexpected absences mean we need to cancel a walk.

A personal trial before joining the pack
Our trial hike gives your dog a senior team member’s dedicated, one-on-one attention—a personal dog concierge for the day. We take time to understand their needs and assess which walking experience suits them.
We assess recall, comfort around people, comfort travelling in the car, and sociability with other dogs. For dogs considering group walks, we then meet up with the group to see how they interact and whether the match is suitable. We curate our groups carefully, and this assessment helps us make a thoughtful decision.
We also offer a personalized assessment for private walks, so we can get to know your dog and tailor their outings.
